We have many ministries:

    Prayer ministry involves praying during the week for worship attenders who ask for prayer during worship and for those in our community who we know are having challenging time in their life as well as joyful times.  We pray for these people and we are willing to pray for you also if you have a prayer request please click on the menu to the left.

     Missions include ingathering kits for those in need after war, famine, disease and natural disaster.

   Visitation is a ministry of people who go to people's homes who are unable to get out and come to worship or have been ill recently.
  
                     Music ministry includes choir during the school year.  Choir meets on Wednesday nights at 7:00.  We enjoy learning new more contemporary hymns which we pray inspires people during worship.

      Worship ministry happens as a group of people work together making worship inspiring and spiritually meaningful for people.  We have traditions for the Christian holidays which the worship team plans.  All ages participate in worship and the planning of worship.  Youth and children plan and Lead worship at lest twice a year.  

       Trustees is the ministry of maintaining the church building and pastor's residence, as well as the grounds.

Nurturing ministry shows care to those who attend and participate in the church's ministry. Celebrating Mothers Day and Fathers Day and other special celebrations is included in this ministry.
 
Reaching out ministry focuses on reaching out to the community and the countryside around Anthon. We pray for people we hear are having challenges with health and other life struggles. We put together food boxes at Christmas and Easter times and give them to people who are struggling economically.
 
Lay speaking ministry is available to any lay person who wants to preach and who fills the pulpit while a pastor is gone. The Anthon UMC has 2 lay speakers.
